Director Appointment

Iofina, specialists in the exploration and production of iodine and halogen-based specialty chemical derivatives, is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Mermoud as a Non-Executive Director to the Company with immediate effect.

Mr. Mermoud has more than 30 years' experience in international business, facilitating trade and investment in both the public and private sectors. He has held senior international, economic and commercial policy positions within the United States Government having served as the Secretary of State's Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs at U.S. Department of State from 2002 to 2009. Mr. Mermoud is also a Non-Executive Director of Cub Energy Inc. an oil and gas company headquartered in Houston, Texas and Chairman of Precision Risk and Intelligence Limited a due diligence and risk mitigation company based in the UK.

Commenting on the news, President and CEO Dr. Tom Becker, stated: "We are delighted to welcome Frank to the Board. Frank has a significant amount of international business and commercial experience through his time with the US Government, and throughout his career, and we look forward to him contributing his skills and knowledge to Iofina's growth plans. As a Non-Executive Director he will bring enhanced corporate governance and oversight to the Company as it continues to grow."
