Avanti Screenmedia Group PLC14 December 2006 Letter to: Avanti Screenmedia plc Disclosure of Interest in Shares In accordance with the provisions of Section 198 to 202 of the Companies Act1985, as amended, (the "Act"), I hereby give notice that, following the purchaseof 415,000 ordinary shares in Avanti Screenmedia plc, ("Avanti") on the 13December 2006, Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia*) is the beneficial holderof 4,415,000 ordinary shares in Avanti Screenmedia plc, which represents 18.93 %of the total issued ordinary share capital. All of the shares will be registered in the name of Caledonia Investments plc. By virtue of the provisions of Section 203 of the Companies Act 1985, TheCayzer Trust Company Limited, ("Cayzer Trust"), a substantial shareholder inCaledonia Investments plc, is also deemed to be interested in the above mentionedshares. We would be grateful if you would accept this letter as notification ofthe interests of the Cayzer Trust on its behalf.
