3i Group plc: non-executive Director appointment

Peter McKellar

3i Group plc announces the appointment of Peter McKellar as a non-executive Director with effect from 1 June 2021.

Peter McKellar was until September 2020 Global Head of Private Markets at Standard Life Aberdeen plc and had previously led Standard Life Investments' private equity and infrastructure business and been their Chief Investment Officer. He joined Standard Life Investments in 1999. Prior to that he held a variety of finance posts in industry and corporate finance positions.

Peter McKellar is Deputy Chairman of AssetCo plc and is also a Board Member of Scottish Enterprise, Scotland's national economic development agency.

Simon Thompson, 3i Chairman, said: "We are pleased to announce Peter's appointment to 3i's Board. Peter brings great experience and understanding of the asset management industry with a particular expertise in private equity and infrastructure."
