Sale of shares by Stephen Lansdown
Stephen Lansdown (the "Selling Shareholder") announces completion of the sale of 23 Million ordinary shares of 0.4 pence each in Hargreaves Lansdown plc (the "Shares") out of his current shareholding of 132 million shares at a price of 205p per share. Following the sale Stephen Lansdown will retain a shareholding of 109 million shares representing 22.9% of Hargreaves Lansdown plc.
Monies raised from the sale will be used to help fund private projects including the proposed new stadium for Bristol City Football Club of which Stephen Lansdown is Chairman.
The share sale was completed today by way an accelerated bookbuilt secondary placing (the "Placing"). Citigroup Global Markets U.K. Equity Limited ("Citi") and Numis Securities Limited ("Numis") acted as joint global co-ordinators and bookrunners.
