Site Visit & Presentation

Leading low cost gym operator, The Gym Group, will this afternoon host a presentation and site visit for a group of investors at its Stockwell and Loughborough Junction gyms.

The Gym Group's current proposition is highly successful and extremely well rated by its members. The Stockwell gym opened in March 2012 and is a typical example of one of our successful mature gyms. It was refurbished in 2023 in line with normal maintenance cycles. The Loughborough Junction site opened in December 2025 and showcases the further development of the Group's proposition as we roll out a fresh, compelling, contemporary design in our new sites, to continue to enhance value perception through a more premium presentation.

In 2026, we are on track to open at least 20 new gyms and have confirmed our intention to accelerate our expansion plan to c.75 new sites over the coming three years, maintaining our hurdle rate of 30% ROIC.

Alongside our rollout plan, we have developed a scalable, cost-effective model of the new format design for refurbishing the mature estate within our existing maintenance capital expenditure budgets. We will use these refurbishments as an opportunity to 're-market' these locations, maximising the local opportunity.

We expect to have at least 70 existing and new sites operating in the new format by the end of 2026 and the programme of expansion and investment will continue to be funded from free cash flow.

No material new financial information will be provided in today's presentation. The presentation materials will be available on the Group's website after the event. The Gym Group will provide an update on its financial performance for the six months ended 30 June 2026 on 8 July 2026.
