In line with the Company's announcement on 6 August 2007 Genus confirms theinstance of foot and mouth disease will have no measurable impact upon itsbusiness. The comparatively harsh foot and mouth outbreak in 2001 had no adverse impact onthe business. Since then, Genus has developed both geographically and inspecies. Currently, only 14% of company turnover is in GB animal relatedbusiness. All of Genus' GB breeding stock facilities are located far from the source ofthe outbreak. Nevertheless, we have further enhanced our already highbio-security procedures.
