Non-Executive Director Retirement

Genus plc (LSE: GNS), a leading global animal genetics company, announces that Nigel Turner, Senior Independent Non-Executive Director, has informed the Company of his intention to step down from the Genus Board, effective from the 2018 Annual General Meeting. Nigel Turner has been a Non-Executive Director of the Company since January 2008, and more recently has served as the Company's Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee. Lesley Knox will replace Nigel as the Chair of the Company's Remuneration Committee.

Commenting on Nigel Turner's retirement, Bob Lawson, Chairman of Genus, said:

Nigel has been intimately involved in the development and progression of Genus over the last decade.
