NEWΒ MINING LICENCEΒ ISSUED
26thΒ JANUARY 2010.
Griffin Mining Limited ("Griffin" or "the Company") isΒ veryΒ pleased to announce that the ChineseΒ Ministry of Land and Resources ("MLR") has granted a newΒ mining licence toΒ Griffin's subsidiary, the Hebei Hua Ao Mining Industry Company Ltd ("Hua Ao"), toΒ mine below the 1300 level atΒ itsΒ CaijiayingΒ zinc-gold mine in the People's Republic ofΒ China. The mining licenceΒ runs forΒ a period ofΒ 16Β years untilΒ January,Β 2026.
Griffin's Chairman, Mladen Ninkov, commented:Β "Although a long time in the coming, the issue of the new mining licence at Caijiaying is very welcome as it allows the mining of Caijiaying to be guaranteed for the currently known mine life at zone III at a production level optimized by the Company. This is extraordinarily good news for all the shareholders of the Company. I congratulate all the Chinese andΒ ex-pat staff who made this milestone possible."
