Ford Motor Co25 March 2008 NEWS Contact: Mark Truby Marcey Evans 313-323-0539 313-322-9211 mtruby@ford.com mevans13@ford.com FELICIA FIELDS NAMED GROUP VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND CORPORATE SERVICES DEARBORN, Mich., March 25 - Ford Motor Company announced today the appointmentof Felicia Fields as group vice president of Human Resources and CorporateServices. Fields will lead Ford's global Human Resources and Corporate Services functions,reporting to Alan Mulally, Ford president and CEO. Fields replaces Joe Laymon,who has elected to leave the company for a new opportunity following eight yearsof service. Laymon has been appointed vice president, Human Resources andMedical Services at Chevron Corporation. "Felicia Fields is a world-class human resources professional and brings theexperience, judgment and technical excellence required to deliver results duringthis important and transformational time in Ford Motor Company's history,"Mulally said. "She already had been providing valuable counsel to me and theentire leadership team in her role as vice president of Human Resources. I amconfident her critical skills will allow us to further integrate and leverageour assets, taking working together as One Ford to the next level ofperformance. "Joe Laymon has been an integral part of Ford Motor Company's turnaround. BillFord and I are grateful to Joe for his commitment, integrity and tirelessservice. His expertise and partnership will be greatly missed. We wish him thebest going forward." The company will not replace Fields in her current position as vice presidentfor Human Resources, thereby eliminating one officer position. Also announced today, Marty Mulloy, vice president for Labor Affairs, now willreport to Joe Hinrichs, group vice president for Global Manufacturing, whilemaintaining a functional tie to Fields. "By formally linking our global Manufacturing and global Labor Affairsorganizations, we will be able to ensure the alignment of our manufacturing andlabor strategies on a global basis," Mulally said. Fields, 42, joined Ford Motor Company in 1986 as a Ford College Graduate. Sincethen, she has held HR leadership positions in Manufacturing, Research,Information Technology, Finance, Product Development and Corporate Development. In addition to her broad exposure to Ford, she has deep experience in acquiringand developing talent, succession planning and leadership development. Fields actively participates in education and youth-oriented events in thecommunity. She serves on the board of directors for the National Action Councilfor Minorities in Engineering and was named by Automotive News as a 2005"Leading Woman in the North American Automotive Industry." Fields received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology with high distinctionfor the University of Michigan and a master's degree in administration fromCentral Michigan University.
