EASYJET STATEMENT - UPDATE ON REQUISITION OF GENERAL MEETING
easyJet announces that on 17 April 2020 it received further notices from UBS Private Banking Nominees Limited requisitioning a general meeting of the Company's shareholders (the "Requisition Notices"). The Requisition Notices propose resolutions to remove John Barton and Johan Lundgren as directors of the Company. The Company understands that easyGroup Holdings Limited is the ultimate beneficial holder of the shares being exercised by UBS Private Banking Nominees Limited.
The Board of directors of the Company has considered the Requisition Notices and confirms that it intends to put these resolutions to the same general meeting it intends to call further to the requisition notices that were received by the Company and announced on 9 April 2020.
As previously stated the Board will observe the statutory timings set out in the Companies Act 2006 in respect of the general meeting and further announcements will be made as appropriate. Shareholders are advised to take no action at this time.
