AGM Statement

At today's Annual General Meeting of Empresaria Group plc ("Empresaria" or "the Group"), the international specialist staffing group, the Board will make the following statement:

Through sector and geographic diversification, the Group has continued to make excellent progress in the development of a broadly based international specialist staffing company. On a current run rate approximately 60% of net fee income is derived from markets outside the UK and around 70% of net fee income is derived from the more stable temporary staffing operations. The Group's first five months trading in 2008 are in line with the Board's expectations and, subject to no significant deterioration in market conditions, its expectations for the full year remain unchanged. As in previous years, the Group is expected to generate the majority of its profits in the second half of the year due to the seasonality of its businesses and in accordance with industry trends.

Empresaria announces the appointment of Charles Kenneth Zachary Miles ("Zach Miles") as non-executive director.

Zach, aged 58, brings a wealth of experience having recently held the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vedior N.V. ("Vedior"), one of the world's largest recruitment companies. He was a member of the Board of Management from 1999, and Chairman since February 2004. Before joining Vedior, Zach was CFO and a member of the Board of Directors of Select Appointments Plc. His career in the recruitment industry began in 1988. 

Zach will join the board of directors on 1st October 2008, replacing Tim Sheffield. He will sit on the remuneration committee and chair the audit committee.

Miles Hunt, Group Chief Executive, commented: "Zach brings with him a wealth of international specialist staffing and international finance experience as well as an intuitive understanding of our management philosophy, organisational culture, strategy and structure. We look forward to him joining the board in October." 

The Board would like to thank Tim Sheffield who steps down as a non-executive director at today's Annual General Meeting after 12 years with the Group.

In addition to his future directorship of the Company, Zach Miles holds or has held the following directorships:
