Empyrean Energy PLC29 January 2007 Empyrean Energy PLC ("Empyrean" or the "Company"; Ticker: (EME)) Sugarloaf Hosston Prospect, Texas USA ------------------------------------- Testing of gas shows to commence within two weeks ------------------------------------------------- AIM quoted Empyrean Energy PLC today announces that a program for testing theprimary Hosston Formation target in the Sugarloaf-1 well has been accepted bythe Joint Venture and is anticipated to start within two weeks. A zone with indications of gas interpreted from wire-line logs and gas showsduring drilling is planned to be tested by high density perforation of theproduction casing over selected intervals in the lower part of the well. Subject to results the program could be amended, including extended flow testingof zones, but is expected to take up to two months to be completed.
