Empyrean Energy PLC10 January 2008 Empyrean Energy PLC ("Empyrean" or the "Company"; Ticker: (EME)) Bondi Prospect : Texas USA -------------------------- AIM listed Empyrean, the oil and gas explorer and producer with assets inGermany and the USA, today announces the following: Raun # 1 well------------- The operator has advised that it expects to begin testing the two potential gasbearing sands in the Raun #1 well next week. The lower zone (7,194 to 7,203ft) which has a gross gas resource potential of0.45 Bcf will be tested first. If this test is successful, the well will beplaced on production from this zone. If the test is not successful, the upperzone (7,047 to 7,093ft) which has a gross gas resource potential of 1 Bcf willbe tested. Further updates will be provided as significant information comes to hand.
