Outcome of audit tender

27 November 2019

 

Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc (EIO) (the Company) announces that following the conclusion of a formal competitive tender process led by its Group Audit Committee (GAC), the Board has approved the proposed appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) as its External Auditor for the financial year ending 31 December 2020. A resolution to approve the appointment will be put to shareholders at the Company's Annual General Meeting (AGM) in 2020.

The Company's current auditor, Deloitte LLP (Deloitte), will continue in its role until the completion of the 31 December 2019 audit. The Company, PwC and Deloitte will work together to ensure a smooth transition.

Further disclosure on the formal competitive tender process conducted by the GAC will be set out in the 2019 Annual Report and Accounts.
