Maria Darby-Walker has been appointed as a non-executive director of Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc with immediate effect.

Maria has a wealth of experience advising Boards of Directors of leading brands on marketing, brand, and corporate reputation, including within the financial services sector.

She is currently the senior non-executive director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee of the Aim listed Personal Group Holdings plc (Company No. 03194991); a technology enabled employee service provider in the UK. She is also the Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at the privately owned SME Challenger Bank Redwood Bank Ltd (Company No. 09872265).

Maria was a director of Amigo Holdings plc (Company No. 10024479) a provider of mid-cost credit in the UK, until 27 March 2023. Amigo announced on 23 March 2023 that it had ceased offering new loans and would start the orderly solvent wind-down of the business. 

She was also a director of MDW Communications Ltd (Company No. 06837067) which dissolved on 30 June 2016 following a members' voluntary liquidation. The declaration of solvency did not include any liabilities, and none came to light during the administration or as a result of the required statutory advertising.

There is no information to be disclosed under paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules.
