EcoSecurities Group plc14 September 2007 PRESS RELEASE EcoSecurities Appoints New Chief Operating Officer Dublin, 14th Sept, 2007: EcoSecurities, a leading company in the business ofsourcing, developing and trading carbon credits from greenhouse gas emissionreduction projects, announces the appointment of Adrian Fernando as ChiefOperating Officer ("COO") with effect from 1 October 2007. Adrian Fernando, 45, has over seventeen years of experience in the energysector, and for the last four years held the board level position of BusinessDevelopment Director for Star Energy plc, an AIM quoted midstream and upstreamoil and gas business. At Star Energy, Adrian was responsible for the developmentof a gas storage business, including negotiation of long term off-takeagreements, resolving regulatory issues and setting up commercial operations.Prior to joining Star, he spent almost 12 years at Amerada Hess Limited where heheld several positions, culminating in the position of Deputy Managing Directorof Amerada Energy Marketing and Trading. Mr Fernando began his career as anEconomic Advisor for the United Nations in Central America. As EcoSecurities' COO, Adrian will be focusing on developing and improvingorganisational systems and processes globally, with specific emphasis on thecore activities of Origination and Implementation of carbon credits for theGroup. The appointment of Adrian Fernando will enable Pedro Moura Costa, currentPresident and COO of EcoSecurities, to concentrate on his primary role asPresident, with an increased focus on strategic developments related to thegrowth plans of the Group.
