Alexander Mining PLC18 November 2005 Alexander Mining plc 18 November 2005 Sulcha Project, Peru Progress Report Alexander Mining plc ("Alexander", "the Company"), the AIM-listed copper, goldand silver mining company with projects in Argentina and Peru, is pleased toannounce progress on its Sulcha gold/silver project in Otuzco Province, northernPeru. Topographical survey work and rock chip surface sampling has been carried out onthe widespread quartz veining and associated hydrothermal alteration present onthe initial Sulcha block property. All the rock chip sample assay resultsreported gold and silver mineralisation. Significantly, gold grades of >3.0grammes per tonne (g/t) were recorded in six different locations over theproperty and covering all outcrops. In addition, four samples assayed over1,000g/t (32oz/t) silver. The Company is highly encouraged by these results and is progressing Sulchatowards the commencement of a drilling programme in the first quarter of 2006. Most of the gold occurrences in northern Peru lie within a 290km belt located inthe western Cordillera of the Peruvian Andes. Within the belt, the Chicama andChimu Formations host a number of world class deposits, including Barrick Gold'sAlto Chicama Mine (9Moz gold in reserves), some 50km to the northeast of Sulcha.Alexander has recently added to its 300 hectare (ha) Sulcha block propertyarea, with the granting of an additional and adjacent 400ha of explorationclaims.
