Roundtable Meeting with India's Secretary of Ministry of Power
Cyan Holdings plc (AIM:CYAN.L), the integrated system and software design company delivering mesh-based flexible wireless solutions for utility metering and lighting control, announces that Executive Chairman, John Cronin will participate in a Round Table Event with Mr. P K Sinha, Secretary of Ministry of Power, Government of India on 15 October 2014.
The roundtable event, organised by the department for UK Trade and Investment, will also include representatives from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, POSOCO (system operator), Central Electricity Regulatory Commission and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
Mr. Cronin will use the event to further highlight Cyan's growing presence in India, where the Company's smart grid solution is currently in the process of being deployed as part of the commercial installations at Tata Power Mumbai and Essel Utilities. Additionally, Cyan is partnering with local meter manufacturers, software developers and system integrators for nine smart grid pilots with both state and private utilities. The opportunities to accelerate the deployment of smart grid technologies in India in order to provide a reliable 24x7 power supply across the country will be discussed with the Secretary.
John Cronin, Executive Chairman, commented: "As an industry leader in the Indian smart grid market, Cyan is focused on encouraging its growth through active participation in Government-level discussions regarding adoption, specification and regulation of smart metering networks.
