COSALT secures new contracts with north west Fire Brigade and Hanson
Cosalt , the specialist provider of critical safety equipment and services, is pleased to announce the renewal of a contract under a new PPE Framework Agreement by a consortium of North West Fire and Rescue Services to continue to supply new kit to its firefighters . Cosalt already supplies structural fire fighting and rescue kit to the majority of UK fire brigades and under this new framework agreement, firefighters from all over the North West will be wearing the same new kit by the end of the year.
In addition, Hanson, the UK's leading supplier of heavy building materials to the construction industry, has awarded Cosalt a major contract to supply a range of hi-vis workwear to the company's quarry products division. The order is worth in the region of £250,000 and involves the supply of hi-vis garments rolled out over a two-year period.
Andrew Richards MD of Cosalt Marine Division said:
"For many years Cosalt has been one of the UK's leading providers of protective clothing and equipment to the emergency services, military, transport and construction industries. Securing both these contracts reflects our experience in these markets and also our ability to draw upon technology developed for one specific industry and apply it more widely, as was the case with the new firefighting kit, developed to meet the challenges today's firefighters face. We look forward to announcing further contract wins in these critical safety equipment markets."
