Notice of Annual General Meeting

Coats Group plc ('Coats' or the 'Company') confirms that its notice of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on 20 May 2020, has today been published and can be downloaded from the Company's website https://www.coats.com/en/Investors/Shareholder-center/General-meetings, and this will shortly be posted to shareholders who have requested it.

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.1, copies of the Notice have been submitted to the Financial Conduct Authority and will shortly be available for inspection from the National Storage Mechanism at https://data.fca.org.uk/#/nsm/nationalstoragemechanism.

Given the COVID-19 restrictions, it is no longer possible to hold the AGM in the way that the Board had planned and therefore regrettably we cannot allow shareholders to attend in person and the Company's Articles of Association do not currently permit hybrid or virtual meetings.

The AGM will instead be convened on 20 May 2020 at the Company's registered office, with the minimum necessary quorum of two shareholders present in order to conduct the business of the meeting.

The Board of Directors strongly encourages shareholders to vote by proxy in lieu of attending in person.

Shareholders are encouraged to submit any questions they would like to have answered at the AGM by e-mailing it to the Company so as to be received no later than 19 May 2020. The e-mail address that is to be used for these purposes only is: agm@coats.com. The Board of Directors will endeavour, where appropriate, to answer such questions as soon as practicable following the AGM.
