Capitalisation Issue - Amended Timetable
Guinness Peat Group plc (the "Company") announced on 13 March 2009 that its Annual General MeetingΒ wouldΒ be delayed by a day from that originally announced, and that it would now be held inΒ LondonΒ on Friday 22 May 2009.
As a consequence, andΒ in order to followΒ the Australian Securities ExchangeΒ timetable requirements,Β the Record DateΒ for thisΒ year's Capitalisation IssueΒ has been changed. Therefore, the following new dates will apply (actions take place on all three exchanges on which the Company's shares are listed unless otherwise indicated):
