Capitalisation Issue - Amended Timetable
Guinness Peat Group plc (the "Company") announced on 13 March 2009 that its Annual General Meeting would be delayed by a day from that originally announced, and that it would now be held in London on Friday 22 May 2009.
As a consequence, and in order to follow the Australian Securities Exchange timetable requirements, the Record Date for this year's Capitalisation Issue has been changed. Therefore, the following new dates will apply (actions take place on all three exchanges on which the Company's shares are listed unless otherwise indicated):
