As at 1.00 p.m. on 5 February 2008, being the final closing date of theIncreased Offer, valid acceptances of the Increased Offer had been received inrespect of a total of 168,978 Newbury Racecourse Shares, representingapproximately 5.55 per cent. of the existing issued share capital of NewburyRacecourse. In addition to these acceptances, as at the date of this announcement GPG is theregistered holder of 633,018 Newbury Racecourse Shares, representingapproximately 20.79 per cent. of the existing issued share capital of NewburyRacecourse. Consequently, as at the closing date of the Increased Offer GPGholds or has received valid acceptances of the Increased Offer in respect of801,996 Newbury Racecourse Shares in aggregate, representing approximately 26.34per cent. of the existing issued share capital of Newbury Racecourse. As the Increased Offer has now lapsed, Newbury Racecourse Shareholders haveceased to be bound by any such acceptances.
