High throughput 3rd generation Intel® Core™ Processor AdvancedMC™

Concurrent Technologies Plc (the "Company"), a world leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products for critical applications in the defence, aerospace, telecommunications, transportation, scientific and industrial markets, is pleased to announce the launch of its latest high performance AdvancedMC™ (AMC) processor board. The AM 91x/x1x combines the power-efficient 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processor with enhanced PCI Express® (PCIe) backplane connectivity. This combination of raw processing power and data throughput capability delivers high bandwidth, non-blocking movement of processed data while still meeting thermal budgets.

Graphics performance capability can increase by 50% and CPU performance can increase by 15% while operating within the same thermal budget as earlier Intel® Core™ processor-based AMC products. The enhanced PCIe capability complements the increased processing power by effectively delivering double the bit rate of the previous generation PCIe.

The AM 91x/x1x processor board is ideal for MicroTCA® and AdvancedTCA® based telecommunications applications such as IPTV, digital media servers, media gateways, broadband, Long Term Evolution (LTE) or LTE-Advanced, wireless base stations as well as in test systems for wireline and wireless networks. The AM 91x/x1x is also suitable for medical, automation, and security applications where fast data processing is a key requirement.
