CompactPCI® board ready for next generation processors

Concurrent Technologies Plc (the "Company"), a world leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products, is pleased to announce the launch of its latest high performance CompactPCI® processor board, the PP 81x/x9x. This product is a single slot, air-cooled embedded computing platform utilising the 2nd generation Intel® Core™ microarchitecture.

The PP81x/x9x is a feature rich product and provides a performance upgrade path for users of the Company's existing product families. Additionally this board has been designed to accommodate the 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processor-based platform due for release later this year. This offers customers a further upgrade path to newer and higher performance technology, thereby ensuring that their software investment can be utilised over a range of projects, both now and into the future.

To address today's demanding applications within markets such as defence, security, and communications, the PP 81x/x9x supports a wide range of leading Operating Systems and is designed to scale from commercial temperature grade through to extended temperature grade for applications within harsher environments.
