Elektron PLC23 March 2006 For immediate release 23 March 2006 Elektron Plc ("Elektron" or the "Company") Share repurchase Elektron, the AIM quoted components group, announces that the Company acquired364,500 ordinary shares of 5p each in the capital of the Company ("OrdinaryShares") at a price of 17.3p per Ordinary Share from the AF Bulgin Group PensionScheme through the market. The AF Bulgin Group Pension Scheme is currently beingwound up and following this transaction will no longer have an interest in theCompany. The repurchased Ordinary Shares will be cancelled from trading on AIM.Accordingly, the reduced issued share capital admitted to trading to AIM willamount to 78,358,602 Ordinary Shares.
