CLARKSON PLC

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock Exchange for admission to the Official List for a listing of 61,968 Ordinary Shares of £0.25 each.
These shares, ranking pari passu in all respects with the existing shares in issue, will be allotted to relevant persons in respect of deferred consideration for the acquisition of Anchor Cross Shipbrokers Pty Limited (as announced on 5 September 2006).
It is expected that admission of the Ordinary shares will become effective on 8 September 2008.
