Appointment of Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary

Churchill China PLC (AIM: CHH) the manufacturer of innovative performance ceramic products serving hospitality markets worldwide, is pleased to announce that Michael Cunningham will be appointed as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") and Company Secretary of the Company. The date Michael will join the Board will be announced in due course.

Michael's appointment follows the Company's announcement on 13 December 2022 of the planned succession of David Taylor, who will step down as Finance Director and Company Secretary on 12 April 2023 following the completion and approval by the Board of the 2022 Annual Report.

Michael brings considerable expertise to the Board, with over 20 years of financial experience including senior positions at quoted and private businesses. Michael joins the Company from AIM-quoted Surface Transforms plc, a manufacturer of advanced materials, where he is currently Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, Michael held senior finance roles at Bentley Motors, Aquila Truck Centres and MAN Truck and Bus UK.

Michael is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, holds an MBA from the European School of Management and Technology in Berlin and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Queen's University Belfast.

Michael Cunningham (51) is currently a director of Surface Transforms plc and has held no other directorships in the past five years. Michael resigned as a director of Aquila Truck Centres Ltd on 29 May 2014, which then entered pre-packaged administration on 21 October 2014. Save as set out in this announcement there are no further matters to be disclosed under Rule 17 or paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules for Companies.
