Close Brothers Group plc (the "Company") announces that application has been made to the Financial Conduct Authority and to the London Stock Exchange for a total of 1,416,562 ordinary shares of 25p each ("shares") to be admitted to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange.
These shares are being issued as consideration for the acquisition of Novitas Loans Limited, as referenced in the Company's half year results announcement on 14 March 2017.
Admission of the shares is expected on 4 May 2017. When issued, the shares will rank pari passu with the Company's existing issued ordinary shares.
As a result, the Company's issued share capital will consist of 151,587,977 ordinary shares of 25p each admitted to trading, each of which with one vote. This figure excludes 472,313 ordinary shares which have been bought back and held in treasury by the Company.
