Temporary Suspension

Central African Gold Plc, the AIM traded gold mining and exploration company, has today requested a temporary suspension of trading pending the completion of its annual report and accounts for the year to 31 December 2007.

The delay in the publication of the 2007 report and accounts has arisen from a number of accounting complications identified in the finalisation of the annual accounts. 

The Directors are confident such technical issues will be resolved and anticipate that the audited report and accounts will be published by 8 July 2008 or at a sooner date if this becomes possible, at which point the Company's shares will resume trading on AIM as soon as practicable thereafter.
