Murchison United NL07 March 2006 ASX,AIM and Media Release 7th March 2006 SIGNIFICANT COPPER AND COBALT POTENTIAL OF THE MILLENIUM LEASES _________________________________________________________________________________ Murchison United NL ("Murchison" or "The Company") (ASX:MUR, AIM:MUU) wish toadvise that the independent geologist assessment including geological mappingand sampling of the Company's mining leases comprising the "Millennium" grouphas been completed by Mr Neil Stuart of Australian Geoscientists Pty Ltd. The "Millenium" mining leases (ML's 3512, 2761, 2762, 7506 and 7507) are locatedsome 35 kilometres north-west of Cloncurry in north-west Queensland, Australia.The five adjacent leases cover an area approximately 3.5 kilometres long and 500metres wide extending in a northerly direction. Historical geological information on work conducted by previous leaseholders isgenerally incomplete or unavailable. Previous geological activity included acopper mine known as the "Federal" operating in the early 1900s. A number ofseparate drilling, costeaning and sampling programs were conducted in 1964, 1970and 1988. The current work program undertaken by Australian Geoscientists Pty Ltd wascompleted mainly over the southern portion of the area where most of the oldcopper workings are located, including costeans, drill holes and old mine. Rockchip sampling and channel chip sampling of the old costeans was undertaken foranalysis. A number of previously excavated trenches were plotted and inspected.Thirteen trenches were channel sampled over sections deemed to be mineralised orpotentially mineralised.
