Patents Update
BOS GLOBAL Holdings Limited ("BOS" or "the Company") (AIM: BOS), the software company focused on creating enterprise productivity solutions for the global workforce market, is pleased to provide the following updates from advice it has received from its Patents Attorneys FB Rice ('FB Rice") and that previously advised to its Shareholders on 2 September 2016.
1. BOS360 Managing Services Provision (International Application PCT/AU2016/050832)
FB Rice has confirmed receipt of the International Search Report from the Australian Patent Office and with favorable opinion to both novelty and inventiveness of the BOS360 Managing Services Provision electronic-Patent Cooperation Treaty ("e-PCT") International Application and approval received 2nd September 2016.
The Company has therefore instructed FB Rice to expedite the Application to National Phase (final stage) for Australia, with a result for the application expected before 30 June 2017. On successful grant approval in Australia, the Company will consider making applications for the United States and Europe.
Further, the Company continues to enjoy its prior claim date for this International Application and its previously granted five Australian Innovation patents.
2. Time Based Services Verification Software (Innovation Patent 2016100475)
This Innovation Patent was granted by the Australian Patent Office on 28th April 2016.
The Australian Patent Office International Search Report (refer BOS360 Managing Services Provision International Application) also included favorable opinion to both novelty and inventiveness of this previously granted Innovation Patent.
The Company has therefore instructed FB Rice to have this Australian granted Innovation Patent upgraded to that of e-PCT International Patent application, retaining its prior claim date and examination.
BOS GLOBAL's Managing Director Michael Travia commented "This is a major milestone to protecting our intellectual property investment beyond that of just copyright protection, and underpins the value of BOS360 Work Patterns system, its software platform as a service and product BOS Time which is launching in May 2017."
