Berkeley Resources Limited01 February 2008 BERKELEY RESOURCES LIMITED APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR The Directors of Berkeley Resources Limited (AIM: BKY.L) are pleased to advisethat Mr Russell Scott Yelland, Berkeley's Chief Operating Officer, has agreed tojoin the Board of Directors with effect from 1 February 2008. Mr Yelland (aged46) is a mining engineer with over 25 years' experience managing miningoperations around the world, including in Spain. Mr Yelland has a Masters degreein Mining Engineering from Camborne School of Mines. He is a Chartered Engineerand Fellow of the Institute of Mining, Minerals and Materials. Mr Yelland will continue to manage the Company's current uranium explorationoperations in Spain as well as providing technical expertise in Berkeley'sassessment of other exploration and development opportunities around the world. Mr Yelland's experience as a mining engineer includes senior appointments inRussia, Australia, Spain, South America and Africa. Prior to joining Berkeley inApril 2007, he was most recently COO of Highland Gold, a leading gold producerin Russia, and spent 4 years as Mines Manager of Navan Resources in Spain. Mr Yelland has the following interest in the securities of the Company: 1,000,000 options exercisable at $1.86 each as follows: - 333,333 on or after 5 August 2008- 333,333 on or after 5 August 2009- 333,334 on or after 5 August 2010 All options expire on 5 August 2011 The Directors of Berkeley are very pleased to welcome Mr Yelland to the Board. Berkeley is the dominant private uranium explorer in Spain, with explorationground holdings totalling around 500,000ha, covering all of the main historicaluranium exploration and production areas.
