DECISIONS TAKEN AT BOARD MEETING OF AXIS BANK
The Board of Directors of Axis Bank at its meeting held today has taken the following decisions :
1. PAYMENT OF DIVIDEND FOR THE YEAR 2011-12
The Board of Directors of the Bank has recommended the payment of dividend @ Rs. 16 per equity share i.e. 160% on equity shares of the Bank and the same will be payable after it is approved by the shareholders at the 18th Annual General Meeting scheduled to be held on 22nd June, 2012 at Ahmedabad.
Further, it is proposed to pay Dividend on 23rd June, 2012 to the shareholders whose names stand on the Register of Members on 15th June, 2012 and ECS credit/despatch of the dividend warrants would commence on 23rd June, 2012 and is expected to be completed on or before 2nd July, 2012.
2. BOOK CLOSURE - 16TH JUNE, 2012 TO 22ND JUNE, 2012 (BDI)
The Register of Members and the Share Transfer Books of the Bank will remain closed from Saturday, the 16th June, 2012 to Friday, the 22nd June, 2012 (both days inclusive) for the purpose of the Eighteenth Annual General Meeting of the Bank and for determining the entitlement of dividend declared for the year ended 31st March, 2012. All shareholders whose names will appear on the Register of Members of the Bank as on 15th June, 2012, will be entitled to receive the dividend.
