Axis Bank Limited - Appointment of Chairman

We inform that RBI vide its letter dated 6th March, 2013 has approved the appointment of Dr. Sanjiv Misra, former Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India as the Non-Executive Chairman of the Bank w.ef. 8th March, 2013. Accordingly, Dr. Sanjiv Misra has taken charge as the Non-Executive Chairman of the Bank w.e.f. today.Further, on expiry of the term as Chairman on 7th March, 2013, Dr. Adarsh Kishore has tendered his resignation effective from 8th March, 2013. He has also ceased to be a Director of the Bank from this date.
