Director's Dealing

Jeremy Eng, Managing Director of Ascent, has transferred 2,000,000 ordinary shares of 0.1p each in the Company ('Shares') into his Self Invested Personal Pension ('SIPP'). This transfer was effected by the sale on 1 July 2010 of 2,000,000 Shares by Jeremy Eng at a price of 3.615p a Share and by the purchase on 1 July 2010 of 2,000,000 Shares by Jeremy's SIPP at a price of 3.635p. This does not change Jeremy Eng's beneficial ownership of 4,808,557 Shares, representing 0.93 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.

Ascent's portfolio contains a solid base of field redevelopment projects with selected exposure to exploration upside.
