ARC International also announced today theacquisition of Teja Technologies, Inc, the industry's leader in heterogeneousmulti-processor software solutions. Formerly Senior VicePresident of Sales and Marketing, Meyer's new role expands to include worldwideengineering activities as well as ARC's technology initiatives. Executivesreporting to Meyer include Paul Holt, who assumes the newly created role of VicePresident of Product Development and Services, and David Doyle who will take therole of Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations. ARC also has created an "Office of the CTO" (Chief Technology Officer) thatincludes: • Dr. Akash Deshpande, the CTO and founder of Teja Technologies and aformer professor at the University of California, Berkeley, • Dr. Tom Pennello, the CTO and co-founder MetaWare, ARC's technicaldirector of software technology, and a former professor at the University ofCalifornia, Santa Cruz, • Dr. Nigel Topham, ARC's chief architect, and the chair of ComputerSystems and director of the Institute for Computing Systems Architecture at theUniversity of Edinburgh. Dr. Deshpande, Dr. Pennello, and Dr. Topham report to Meyer. The group'scharter is to advance ARC's technology leadership and innovation in the areas ofconfigurability, multicore architecture and software platforms.
