ArmorGroup International plc17 April 2007 ArmorGroup International plc $7 million extension to US Department of Defense training contract ArmorGroup International plc, the leading international provider of protectivesecurity services, has been awarded a $7 million extension of its contract toprovide specialist training to the United States Department of Defense (DoD).The contract with the DoD has been won in conjunction with the specialistintelligence analysis and Explosive Ordnance Disposal training consultancyHazard Management Solutions Ltd (HMS), with whom ArmorGroup signed a teamingagreement in September 2006. ArmorGroup has provided specialist training, including Close Protection andsurveillance detection techniques, to US Government departments for over 15years. The Group has been working closely with HMS on the development andinstruction of a wide range of courses for specialist units of the DoD and NATO.These courses, which include training on the growing threat of ImprovisedExplosive Devices (IEDs), combine unrivalled operational and technical expertisewith highly innovative and realistic training.
