Step up in marketing programme

AFC Energy, the industrial fuel cell power company, is pleased to announce that the Company's marketing activities are being increased significantly from this year as part of the build up of its commercialisation programme.

During the first half of 2014 AFC Energy will, for the first time, participate in several global hydrogen energy conferences and exhibitions with its own presentation stand and booth in order to promote its technology and fuel cell energy supply proposition. In addition, AFC Energy's chief executive, Ian Williamson, will deliver a keynote speech during the plenary session of the World Hydrogen Energy Conference in South Korea in June.

Details of the forthcoming events are as follows:

· The European Hydrogen Energy Conference (EHEC) (Seville, Spain. 12-14 March, 2014)

The EHEC is the platform for the sector to present advances in research, products and projects on hydrogen and fuel cell related technologies.

· Euro Chlor (Madrid, Spain. 1-3 April, 2014)

Euro Chlor is an international chlorine technology conference and exhibition where companies across the global sector present best practices in safety, health and environmental protection. Bob Kelly, the Company's international business development manager, will deliver a presentation on AFC Energy and brief on its Power-Up project.

· World Hydrogen Energy Conference (WHEC) (Gwangju, Korea. 15-20 June, 2014)

About AFC Energy

Founded in 2006, AFC Energy plc is re-engineering proven alkaline fuel cell technology to reduce the cost of electricity. Alkaline fuel cells have been used on US and Russian manned space missions for decades to provide electrical power and drinking water. By using platinum free, advanced materials, design tools and manufacturing processes at scale, AFC Energy is developing fuel cells that will compete with conventional technologies such as turbines for electrical power generation. Today, AFC Energy is pursuing opportunities in several sectors where hydrogen is readily available including the chlorine, clean coal and waste-to-energy industries as well as applications for distributed/back-up power.
