Dawnay, Day Carpathian PLC08 June 2006 Dawnay, Day Carpathian PLC ("DDC" or the "Company") The board of DDC announces that on 7 June 2006, Dawnay, Day Properties Limited,a company in which Mr. Klimt, a non-executive director of the Company, isindirectly interested purchased 645,000 contracts for difference ("CFDs") in DDC at an average price of 98.2 pence per share. Mr. Klimt's interests in the Company now comprise 2,852,833 ordinary sharesregistered in the name of Munxay Limited, 3,514,029 ordinary shares registeredin the name of Petalang Limited and 1,769,738 CFDs over the Company's shares registered in the name of Dawnay, Day Properties Limited. This represents anaggregate interest for Mr Klimt in 8,136,600 ordinary shares being 5.59% of theissued share capital. Mr Klimt and persons connected with him are indirectly interested asshareholders in Munxay Limited, Petalang Limited and Dawnay, Day PropertiesLimited.
