DawMed Systems PLC25 April 2008 25 April 2008 DAWMED SYSTEMS PLC ("Dawmed" or "the Company") AGM STATEMENT Strong Q2 Trading Performance Several High Value Tenders Secured At today's Annual General Meeting of Dawmed, the medical devices company whichdesigns, manufactures, sells, distributes and services healthcaredecontamination equipment used by Secondary Care NHS Trust hospitals, privatehospitals and Primary Care practitioners and clinics, which is to be held latertoday, the Executive Chairman, Kevin Gilmore, will provide the following update: "Although it is less than a month since your Company's Annual Report andAccounts were distributed to all shareholders, I am pleased to present a tradingupdate relating to the first two quarters of the current financial year asfollows:- KEY POINTS: • Several high value tenders won, including the ground breaking turnkey pr oject at East Kent Hospitals; • Overall historic level of sales substantially more buoyant than the equivalent period last year; • Abundance of activity in quoting and tendering for more new orders; • Performance of sales of Wassenburg equipment particularly strong; • Chemical sales substantially up and continuing to rise; • New distributorship appointment for new top quality product; and • New export distributor in Europe close to appointment. It is pleasing for me to report that the first half of the current financialyear appears to have exceeded the Board's expectations, with the substantiallyincreased turnover achieved and the degree of recovery from the disappointingeffects of last year's industry sector unprecedented spending slowdown, whichled to the consequential and unprecedented loss suffered by your Company lastyear. So far as the UK is concerned, there can be no doubt that, although a morenormal level of NHS business appears to have been resumed, it is your Company'samended strategy that has been largely responsible for its considerable successin recent months and hopefully for the continuation of that success during thesecond half of this year. As part of your Company's efforts to increase the penetration into Europe ofexport sales, not least to escape the partial dependence upon the NHS, yourCompany has recently instigated a new offensive to appoint further distributorsfor its products in the foreseeable future. In particular, the Company is closeto the first such appointment which it hopes to be in a position to detail toshareholders in due course.
