Ariana Resources PLC19 July 2006 19th July 2006AIM: AAU AGM Statement Michael Spriggs, Chairman, Ariana Resources plc ("Ariana" or "the Company"), thegold exploration company focused exclusively on Turkey, made the followingcomments at today's Annual General Meeting: "Since admission to AIM last July the Company has accelerated its explorationprogrammes and increased its presence on the ground. The funds raised onadmission have been effectively deployed and the Board is confident that thework being carried out will lead to the Company achieving its stated aims andaspirations. "In 2005 Ariana acquired the Sindirgi project in Western Turkey, and positiveresults from two of its prospects are indicating that it has the potential to bea very significant gold system. We have also identified several other prospectswhich are now being looked at in detail, including a 750m long by 50m wide goldanomaly at Kinik. Over 500,000 km2 of Turkey have been reviewed, with the dataanalysed and then stored in the in-house database. This is a wonderfulachievement by the team. "The additional funds of £2 million raised in May 2006 will be used toaccelerate the exploration programmes and to undertake a drilling programme atthe Kiziltepe and Kepez prospects within the Sindirgi project, where we believethere is the potential for a major gold deposit to be found.
