Appointment of Auditor
Heathrow announces that, following the conclusion of a formal audit tender process, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) has been appointed as auditor for the Heathrow group of companies from 1 January 2020. Deloitte LLP (Deloitte) will continue to audit the Heathrow Group during 2019 and until the signing of the 31 December 2019 financial accounts in early 2020. A formal handover process will be undertaken to ensure a smooth and effective migration between Deloitte and PwC.
We would like to take this opportunity to recognise the contribution that Deloitte has made in providing robust challenge to judgements and assumptions to maintain confidence in the integrity of our regulatory and financial reporting during the ten years that they will have been our auditors.
As we enter the next audit cycle, we will see further evolution of our business as we grow and with that we will seek proactive, independent and specialist expertise from PwC as part of their audit to ensure best practice and transparency is secured; both being core to our values and our commitment to investors.
