We (GGP) find ourselves, playing with giants in a giants playground. Fortescue is currently on our side and this appears to be at the behest of SD, in the form of wyloo money and BoD staff.
SD is either angling for a "good" deal, to be taken ou,t or doing his best NOT to get trodden on by one of the giants in the playground. He cannot continue to play as if the giants aren't there, so to speak.

In 'normal' healthy circumstances where our SP 'may' be somewhat higher, SD would be far more nimble in that playground but at this level - I am concerned the kid in the playground is becoming "scrawny" and a likely target by the giants gathering around him.
2023 will resolve most of this methinks.

So we are seeing: reverse takeover [wyloo buys NCM out @ Hav / Wyloo buys GGP out?
And of course that constant: NCM buys GGP out.
At the current SP, we (GGP as an entity) are fragile and exposed -
Maybe someone will quiz SD tonight about these takeover options?

Now that you've finally come off your high horse about going to production (after 9+ yrs) Quades, I am now firmly in agreement with you about a JV.
Solg/CGP (in future I will call this entity ENSA), must now be gearing up for a JV with a major. Your post reinforces all the reasons for this. You don't agree offtakes and NSR's if you wish to sell!!!
Yes - it will result in ENSA being by far the most junior (25 - 40% ownership) but ENSA needs the skill/knowledge/money that a Major brings. The JV will also minimise dilution, because believe me - if ENSA wants to take this to production alone, the existing share issue will atleast double!
The strategic review will pave the way for a JV.

Good afternoon Selecta6, I attempted to answer this on another forum, a while ago. This topic pops up occasionally.
I have modified my response and dampened it down due to my frustration with those who don't understand 'why we are, where we are':

If the SP was directly linked to 'good news'and GGP has had 24 out of 24 good news releases, where would the SP be now (according to those who don't understand why the SP doesn't go north on receipt of good news)? £1, £2.
No amount of good news will push the SP north unless it is ground breaking (excuse the pun). So far - the gold/copper/whatever is still in the ground....it is only worth a tiny fraction of what we think it's worth, until it is mined and sold off.
Market sentiment does have a hand here, I accept that but it's only fiddling around the edges. The big catalyst here, without a doubt will be when NCM tells the world: Yes we are going mining. The next catalyst will be when NCM strike gold at the motherlode. In between we may get some bolstering news with additional MRE's enroute.
Until then the market believes (ish) that there is only 2.9Moz Ore Reserve down there underground and currently unavailable. Price: 8p/share.

If we are not for sale, then why:
dispose of 3/4 of the BoD?
stop all exploration drilling?
bring onboard another investor?
delay the DFS and TA PEA?

If you were really honest with yourself Q, quietly whilst lying there in bed - you would have to concede that Solg will never get anywhere near doing this alone. You stuck it out for years and years and recently allowed some leeway regarding a JV prsopect.
So no - I can't admit: "you have got it right up till now".......the exact opposite is true Q.
CGP are driving this (maybe NM in the rear seat) and the Solg we all knew - months ago, no longer exists.
2023 - will see the lid closing on the old Solg for good and for all of us.............thank gawd!

The Solg saga continues to be a slow motion car crash.
The BoD has become infected by an outside virus which is un stoppable and will see the demise of Solg as many see it.
It's bad news for the LTH's but great news for those of us who just want to jettison this complete and utter cluster fcuk.
2023 has to be the year that Solg is finally put out of its misery - surely?

I guess the next sign of slash and burn will be a reduction in the work force in terms of hundreds of 'hangers on' who won't be needed now. Selling regional tenements is next.

I think we can now safely state that Solg will not be mining in Ecuador as a solo enterprise. That profile has well and truly died.
All that remains to be discussed now is whether Solg will JV with a major or be sold.
And all the while, CGP will be in the driving seat together with NM.
A coup in the making - stealing the crown jewels right from under the noses of BHP and NCM.
Truth is stranger than fiction it seems.
