Morning Jiffy - how was Santorini?
To elucidate on what you paraphrased:
"...Now that NCM are managers of Havieron, GGP have lost significant control over future operations in all but name. SD sees thunderstorms ahead - navigable yes but still uncertainty for GGP ..."
Firstly and to clarify a little of what Bamps has just said - NCM are the JV managers @ Hav. They have been since 2021. That means they have the final say on what happens at the mine. For many here that doesn't rest easy (and I can see why - it is an emotional shareholding in many instances) but it is a fact. In normal circumstances it doesn't really matter if both parties agendas are the same (as at your normal place of work) but if circumstances require a strategic decision to be made and there are differences of opinion, then NCM will make that decision.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves - it will probably never happen but what I am saying is that SD 'might', just might be unhappy with that when it comes to, say, technical changes during the underground mining plans which may involve more money for instance. NCM may alter arrangements surrounding the development of Telfer and so it goes on.
I'm not being negative about the stock, I'm just explaining my perspective on what might happen when there is an assymetric arrangement in place.
SD needs to have a plan b if matters escalate and bringing Wyloo onboard has ameliorated many of his concerns for the future. That is all I am saying.
I keep thinking occasionally (and have mentioned it here, before)....when the underground mine @ Hav is up and running - what will GGP bring to the party operationally, on a daily/monthly/annual basis - other than their financial committment. No-one seems to want to address that question. NCM must also be thinking that too.
I remain a GGP groupie by the way!
Best
