Recession fears looming27 Mar 2020 01:34
I sold out in the 295 ish, lucky I did. But I'm scared to buy in again because of fear of recession and we all know what that means. IMO Without a COVID19 antivirus theres the risk of ongoing negative impact on markets and future drops, people out of pocket and we all know that will mean sales being hit hard. Government offering to help those in need with payouts but I dont expect social security to compensate for the loss of income. Spending power will go down. Mass unemployment and people holding on to the little cash they have for necessities food and rent. Confidence in the markets has not recovered, otherwise FTSE and other indexes would have shot up. Antivirus expected to take a year or longer according to health officials on news. This may sound all doom and gloom but look at overwelmed NHS and lockdown. Other countries in chaos too. As soon as travel resumes to and from countries e.g. spain, italy, china etc. It spreads again. Watching Bloomber on youtube and traders and economists saying its worse than financial crisis and expect worse recession. Recent unemployment in USA shot up to over 3 million and many businesses may go bust. If any one thinks I might be wrong in my prediction please reply why thats the case. Im keeping an open mind. Also if antivirus is made rolling it out to millions/ billions of people will take months if not years
