how long ago was this statement? I think they need to reduce costs right now - if they could go from US 19 to US 16 at current production that is a saving of nearly USD 1000/ day. We would assume that the costs of US19 reflected old practices, old ESP pumps etc
1000 bopd at US 13 / day is still also kind of high/ The major Mideast producers ( SA, Iraq etc) have a cost of production of US 5 a day
