RE: Growing gap between oil futures and supplies22 Mar 2026 09:05
Who knows? It's a really stupid escalatory cycle. Hopefully, the US realises diplomacy is the best option now, but Bibi seems to be getting Donald's ear. Iran have said explicitly now that they want diplomacy, but you can't have that while you are being attacked, which is understandable to a degree.
The conclusions are, imo, if it continues, that US-Isreali and world-Isreali relations are not as strong for decades. Also, Trump's approval rating will sink below 20%, meaning that there's a chance not only he but his family end up in prison given all the shadiness. Either that or you might have to change your surname from Trump to something else to safely walk down the street.
Hopefully with the preparation for talks that has been reported, they know the right way and don't make stupid moves because Israel don't care about anyone else.
Supply will adapt as will economies imo. The strait will open obviously, but the quicker the president starts listening to the right voices, the less damage will be done.
