Apart from the likely increases in CGT impacting share dealing profits, any views on Labour's win re impact on CCL?

I'm guessing cruise goers will be seen as a middle class luxury? Increase port taxes? The labour green lobby will surely want to clamp down on emissions like Khan has done in London?. Restrictions on vessels without portside electric capabilities?

I do like how they always play down fires on ships so not to alarm the public. Yes, it was just a small blaze, nothing to see here 😆

I do worry that there is a growing divergence. The ships are getting bigger and bigger, yet more places are thinking of banning them.

The last few days have seen Alaska towns voting to restrict them, and in the telegraph today Greece wants to crack down across the country.

I know there are those that say there are other places to cruise, but if cruising becomes the cigarettes of the 2020s, and governments start banning them due to concerns of locals or the environment, these big ships are just going to be circling the carribean all year like a giant M25

Cheers guys. I don't think it's helped that it recently had a massive norovirus outbreak which has swayed so many of the reviews. I can shrug of the bland food comments (being almost 80 dad likes everything boiled to a bland mush so that's probably a positive🤣)

I'm off on a Princess Japan trip next week so will make the final decision upon return!

I know this isn't a cruise review site, but I was just about to book a cabin on Ventura for December in the Canaries with elderly parents, but stumbled across some dreadful reviews of the ship. Can anyone say anything positive about it or are things really that bad?! Cheers

The single shares are more likely algo trading adjustments. The market would not move on 1 share, or even 10 shares, not a company the size of CCL. Rather than the small shapes driving price it's more like the price driving small volume. It does not make economic sense to do such small trades and the algo is probably not factoring in cost of dealing before executing it's trade. I've spoken to compliance functions in a past life and it's often just poor programming logic as their portfolios try to adust to small price moves. You also get iceberg orders put into the market incorrectly. Rather than chop a 10000 order into 100 shares chunks, sometimes orders are put through as 1 share.
