12 months ago we were £8.88, we are now £12. If they didn't scrap the perk last year when they were really struggling, I'd be surprised if they scrapped it this year. NCL have kept it at 100 and you can also pick 100 shares up for around the same price as Carnival so it's not out of kilter with peers (exc RCL!). In my opinion if CCL were penny pinching this amount for spare change it would signal to me that there are bigger things under the bonnet to worry about!

I know it's irrational, but it does disinctivise. Costa did the same to me the other year when they moved onto a rolling loyalty. I was very high up. Points dropped to zero. Now I avoid booking Costa where possible as it p'd me off.

I think the Nvidea results tomorrow will set the tone for the direction the market is going to head. The is a lot riding on it apparently.

Maybe the market got wind of the 100 NCL shares I bought the other day and thought the big players are on the pitch now 😆

Or one of the old dancing duffers they have on Cunard to partner up with the single octogenarian ladies? 😆

My thoughts....

Without knowing the share it's difficult to know the circumstances. But if its just delisted to save costs (ie it hasn't gone bust and been bought out) then you will be a shareholder in the unlisted company. This will then be very hard for you to trade out. Hopefully they will put a matched bargain facility in place to help minority shareholders. Probably too late, but I'd have got out before the delisting as price formation and liquidity will be impacted. Unsure about the injection of capital on existing shareholders from the details given.

I just clicked on the link, it suggests they throw everything in "free at sea" included. But when you go to book, the price always jumps. I've just done a Transatlantic quote, cabin, free at sea, 250 towards flights etc for £791

Popped it into basket, moved onto total price page, showing cruise only reduced from £994 to £781. But no extras. The Free at sea package was £994, now £1080?!

Maybe it is me, but it happens every time I've done quotes in the past. Puts me off as it's a bit like the Ryanair hidden extras!

They kept the 100 shares obc when the share price was £7 so they would be crazy to scrap it at £10 in my opinion. It is a great way of keeping brand loyalty, why P people off when it's really a small amount in context to the amount of revenue they get having you onboard.

Plus it only gets spent on their own goods. So the fiver you spend on Obc gelato and coffee etc costs them pence but leaves us feeling loyal to the brand.

I was on MSC Virtuosa last week in Southampton. Hygiene there was also lacking. It was probably the dirtiest cabin I've stayed in. It's a pretty new ship too. The staff are fab and over worked. I don't think customers knew what sanitiser was. Very depressing as I watched people grabbing food from the buffet with their fingers 😔

I have 100 held in freetrade for obc You get a statement each month with name, address and holding. Very easy to upload

Odd you say that Bhants. I used it a couple of days ago for my Princess Japan cruise next month, and have already had confirmation back. They didn't even ask me for a new broker statement to prove I'm a shareholder which I thought a bit odd.

Ignore that!!! I'm confusing it with P&O! It's been a long day 🥺
